Oak Harbor Chamber Golf Outing

The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding our Annual Golf Outing on Friday May 25, 2012. The event will be held at the Oak Harbor Golf Club and will begin at 8:00am with a shotgun start. Please mark your calendars and start forming your teams! Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Medi-Quip Repairs

Medi-Quip Repairs would like to announce their grand opening at 130 W. Water St. in downtown Oak Harbor, Ohio. Medi-Quip Repairs is a medical equipment repair/retail shop, and they can repair, modify, or perform preventative maintenance on all medical equipment. Free Rent for New Businesses 

If you drive through downtown Oak Harbor, you will notice a couple of the empty buildings have a free rent sign in the window.  In an effort to help revitalize downtown Oak Harbor, Snyder Real Estate & Rentals is offering free rent for new businesses that would like to open up a storefront in Oak Harbor. According to Snyder, “These buildings are completely remodeled and ready for business.” If you have been thinking of starting up your own business, now is the perfect time. In addition to the free rent, there are also small business seminars and tools available through Terra Community College’s Small Business Development Center.  Their services include training, counseling, business plan development assistance and more. Downtown Oak Harbor Farmers’ Market


The Oak Harbor Downtown Committee in conjunction with the Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding Downtown Oak Harbor Farmers Markets again this season at Flat Iron Park. The markets will be held on the fourth Saturday of each month starting in June, and will run from 9am-1pm. The mission of the market is to help sustain the local economy by providing local farmers, bakers, artisans and other vendors an affordable opportunity to sell their goods to local consumers. We are looking for vendors for the Farmers’ Market in every category.
Along with farm fresh produce, farm market vendors can also provide quality poultry products, fresh baked goods, herbs, fresh cut flowers, all types of plants, fruit, cider, handmade crafts, garden décor, antiques, art, music, jewelry and gourmet food items. The cost of a booth is $10.00 per week and if you sign up for all five markets you get 20% off for a total cost of $40.00 for 5 markets. The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 3rd Annual Village wide Garage Sale Days in Oak Harbor, OH on June 1-2, 2012. Anyone in the Oak Harbor area may sign up, and some of the downtown businesses will be having sidewalk sales as well. New this year, we will have spaces available at Flat Iron Park for rent for those who live out of town but would like to have a sale in town. You can rent a 10’ X 20’ space for $20.00. This would be for Friday and Saturday. A complete list of sales will be available at the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce and the Oak Harbor Public Library starting Thursday May 31, 2012.
