FREE Seminar sponsored by the Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce
On Friday February 17, 2012, Michelle Ish, of The HR Department will be presenting first free seminar of the year. It will run from 12p-1p and will be held at the OCIC. This seminar is FREE to Oak Harbor chamber members and includes lunch. The topic of discussion will be BWC supervisor training. According to Michelle: “I’ve found over the course of my career in Safety and Workers’ Compensation that those companies experiencing high premiums don’t necessarily suffer from poor safety programs or especially unsafe workplaces, or have careless employees. Often times, the problem is in the claims management! Too often, critical decisions are left to be made by front line supervisors who admit to already being spread too thin, without the added task of managing workplace injuries. The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate to each of you, the leaders responsible for managing the workers’ comp for your organization, where these untrained, over-worked supervisors go wrong and begin to identify what tools and knowledge they need to make better decisions so that YOU can see better financial performance over the next five years.” Please plan to attend this informative seminar free of charge and remember to RSVP by Monday February 13, 2012 by calling the Oak Harbor Chamber office at 419-898-0479 or emailing .
