Come celebrate our 41st year, where there is something for everyone! The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors this family oriented festival with over 25,000 visitors attending annually. Our festival is held in downtown Oak Harbor with all activities located within a one block walking area. Come and see the crowning of our 2019-2020 Royalty Court at opening ceremonies Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by the baby/toddler contest. You can enjoy the sights and sounds of the Grand Parade at 2:00 p.m., cornhole tournament at 4pm along with the Fulton County Bluegrass Band, bingo at the fire station, and the talent show to round out the day’s entertainment. Saturday night be sure to come out to “Applepalooza”, which will feature live bands and a beer tent. Entertainment starting at 8:00 p.m. Admission is only $5.00 and specials will be available. Sunday is chuck full of fun as well, with our Classic Car Show, 5K Apple Run, 1 Mile Kid’s Run, and local performers to make for a day of pure enjoyment! No admission fees for the festival. The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to join our community in celebrating our Independence, on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 along the Portage River, in downtown Oak Harbor. Festivities begin at 5:00pm. There will be food vendors, entertainment, giant inflatables, the Royal Duck Race, 50/50 drawings, glow necklaces and a beer garden. The night would not be complete without the sky being illuminated with the most spectacular fireworks display around! Please come out and join us for a night of family fun! Admission and parking are free. We are also looking for volunteers to help clean up on Thurssday, July 4th from 7:30am – 9:30am. The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce is coordinating the 10thAnnual Village wide Garage Sale Days on June 7 & 8, 2019. A complete list of sales will be available at the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce, the Oak Harbor Public Library on Wednesday, June 5th. The deadline to be on the garage sale list is Monday, June 3rd.
Downtown Oak Harbor Farmers’ Market
The Oak Harbor Development Group will again be holding Downtown Oak Harbor Farmers’ Markets on the fourth Saturday of each month June-October from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The location of the market is North Church Street from Water Street to the alley. Along with farm fresh produce, farm market vendors can also provide quality poultry products, fresh baked goods, herbs, fresh cut flowers, all types of plants, fruit, cider, handmade crafts, garden décor, antiques, art, music, jewelry and gourmet food items. Our Business Over Breakfast Networking & Education Series is aimed at encouraging Chamber of Commerce members to meet regularly, exchange contact details, and share information, ideas and knowledge in a positive environment. Each event offers time for coffee and breakfast while networking, followed by a short presentation on relevant business-related topics to help improve the performance and bottom-line results of your organization.
The quarterly sessions will be held from 7:30 to 9:00 AM on a Thursday morning in Oak Harbor. Member cost for each session is $5 per person. As an added incentive, members who attend 3 of the 4 sessions each calendar year will receive 2 complimentary tickets to our Annual Dinner Meeting AND a $10 Oak Harbor Chamber gift certificate!

The Oak Harbor Chamber Foundation will be holding a Reverse Raffle to raise funds for the fireworks show in Downtown Oak Harbor.
The Raffle will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Community Market VFW Memorial Hall on Main Street.
Tickets may be purchased by calling or stopping into the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce; cash, check and credit cards are accepted. RSVP’s for dinner are due by April 26, 2019. You must be 21 to attend, need not be present to win.

Downtown Oak Harbor Trick or Treat
Merchants in Downtown Oak Harbor are ready to welcome hundreds of costumed kids with bowls full of candy and treats. Look for a sign in the windows of downtown businesses which indicate participation. The OHPD will be joining us to provide pedestrian safety at crosswalks.
The Downtown Trick-or-Treat is FREE to the public and will be held rain or shine on October 31, 2018 from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Neighborhood door-to-door trick-or-treating will be from 6:00-7:30pm that same night.

The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce will hold our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. The event will begin in Adolphus Kraemer Park at the Log Cabin with an Easter Egg Hunt, followed by a candy hunt downtown, and then to the Portage Fire Station on Water Street where the children can visit and take photos with the Easter Bunny and have a chance to win one of our special Golden Egg baskets!
