Come celebrate our 41st year, where there is something for everyone! The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors this family oriented festival with over 25,000 visitors attending annually. Our festival is held in downtown Oak Harbor with all activities located within a one block walking area. Come and see the crowning of our 2019-2020 Royalty Court at opening ceremonies Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by the baby/toddler contest. You can enjoy the sights and sounds of the Grand Parade at 2:00 p.m., cornhole tournament at 4pm along with the Fulton County Bluegrass Band, bingo at the fire station, and the talent show to round out the day’s entertainment. Saturday night be sure to come out to “Applepalooza”, which will feature live bands and a beer tent. Entertainment starting at 8:00 p.m. Admission is only $5.00 and specials will be available. Sunday is chuck full of fun as well, with our Classic Car Show, 5K Apple Run, 1 Mile Kid’s Run, and local performers to make for a day of pure enjoyment! No admission fees for the festival. RULES & REGULATIONS 1-All entries must be pre-registered. Entry forms must be turned in by Monday, October 7th. No entry fee is required. 2-Contest is open to any amateur baker. No caterers or professional bakers please. 3-All entries must include apples as a main ingredient, and provide a written recipe on the back of the entry form. *One entry form for each entry submitted.* 4- No highly perishable entries can be accepted. 5-Entries must be submitted on disposable plates or pans. 6-All baked goods that are entered become the property of the Apple Festival Committee. All entries will be sold immediately following the judging and at the Apple Festival. All proceeds will benefit future Apple Festivals. 7-Baked goods will be received at the Oak Harbor Municipal Building (on the corner of Church and Main St.) between 5:30-6:30 pm on Friday evening October 11th. 8-Winners will be announced immediately after judging. Trophies will be awarded on stage during opening ceremonies on Saturday morning.
Apple Festival Baby Contest
The Oak Harbor Apple Festival Baby Contest will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11:30a.m. at the main stage. This year's theme is "Rocket Pride".
Sunday, October 14, 2018 12pm Main Stage Registration – 11:45 a.m. Kids Ages 12 & Under - $2.00 Entry Fee Adults 13 & Older - $5.00 Entry Fee You must be pre-registered. The deadline to pre-register is Friday, October 5th. Winners will receive CASH PRIZES!! *Contest will only be held if there are at least 10 registrants*
The Oak Harbor Apple Festival Committee is taking over the craft show at the VFW Memorial Hall. The show will run in conjunction with the festival, and the hours will be Saturday 10AM - 7PM and Sunday 10AM-5PM. Please call the office if you are interested in being a vendor.
